Currently it is quite dangerous to cross at the Gorleston crossroads by the Veterinary Hospital – only a few seconds to get across, especially risky for children and older residents.
Good news as the traffic signals there are due for replacement, proposals now include adding proper pedestrian crossing facilities on every arm of the junction. Design and consultation are set for 2026/27, with construction in 2027/28 (and Norfolk County Council is looking at whether it can be brought forward).
